Sauvignon Blanc Sorbet!

Over a fine glass of Fiasco Sauvignon Blanc wine, Giapo and The Wine Vault have decided to collaborate on a new exciting venture. We are making Sauvignon Blanc Gelato or Sorbet as I would call it!

I feel very excited about this project and it will give Giapo customers a chance to savour some of New Zealand's finest exports. Together with 10 wineries, that were all keen to get on board, we are going to be doing a 10 week series of Wine Vault TV together and also show how we make it.

The Summer months should expose our collaboration to all number of people from Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube plus tourists from the many visiting cruise ships who meander along Queen Street.

I would like to thanks all of our suppliers:

This is the list of wines for the first Giapo wine sorbet season starting 1st February 2010:

1, Fiasco Sauvignon Blanc: Delicate tropical fruit with hints of Passion fruit, grapefruit and twist of citrus!

2, Wild Rock Elevation Sauvignon Blanc: Kiwi fruit mixed with guava and hints of ruby grapefruit make this magical.

3, Lonestone Marlborough Sauvignon: great acidity from lemon and lime tinged with passionfruit.

4, Durvillia: a hint of spice and lime, think marlborough on ice!

5, The Darling: Lemon Tea and grapefruit and hints of guava

6, Invivo: riverstone crushed over passionfruit served on a Kafir lime leaf

7, The Crossings: Hawke's Bay fruit, apple and spice and all things nice.

8, St. Clair: Premium wine sorbet, Fresh zesty lime with a twist of passion fruit

9, Torea: shredded mango and lime with freshly cut apple.

10, Cape Campbell: Kafir lime mixed with lemon gives this sorbet an edge!
Thanks and look forward to trying them with you!
